Spring Outfitting

They say to dress for the job you want, and it’s clear here that I want to be perusing the farmer’s market, sipping lavender lattes, and perhaps catching a matinee. The turn of the season has me swooning for a mixture of highs and lows (always), some new staple pieces and some fun versatility. I’ve also been donning a basket as my accessory of choice, starting first with a dinner invite. I went to a friends house with a bundle of sage, some chive salt, a loaf of fresh sourdough, all laid out nicely in a shallow basket. It just holds things together best. Now I find myself reaching for a basket for the kids snacks at baseball and even while running to a quick dinner. It’s very Jane Birkin and I like that.

In this smattering of outfittedness I have a favorite Sezane dress and some Madewell flats - perhaps both a tiny splurge, but I find them to be timeless pieces. Flats like this will last you years and the dress is such a gorgeous quality. The basket purse and the earrings are Amazon finds that are under $20! The earrings I have been wearing non-stop. Even with athleisure gear they give a sort of Princess Diana running errands vibe. And then Spring is nothing without a pop of fresh creamy blush - Merit is my favorite brand for this and it’s clean makeup to boot!

If you’re loving these posts, let me know in the comments! What other pieces are we needing this season??
